The splitboard makes places like Skálafell a lot more interesting 🏂
If you’re planning a ski trip to Akureyri, save this:
Drive from Reykjavík, takes about 5 hours 🚙
Stay at @bryggjan_boutiquehotel 🏨
Breakfast at Berlin ☕️
Ski all day at Hlíðarfjall ⛷️
Hot tubs and sauna back at the hotel 🛁
The cliffs of Drangafjall 🪨
They sit high on the left just before Akureyri when you’re driving up north.
I’ve looked at them through the windshield for years.
About time I flew the drone up there 📸
Looking for a proper ski cabin up north? ⛷️
Ski touring during the day, straight into the hot tub after.
@svartaborg is just 40 minutes from Akureyri, but it feels far from everything.

Still one of my favorite waterfalls in Iceland 💦

For context, it’s about 2.5 hours from Reykjavík, a sh

Out on this lagoon, photography is on easy mode. On the camera, drone, or even the phone, every angle is a perfect shot 📸
At first glance, it’s just a normal house… then you look up and see glaciers and Iceland’s highest mountains right there in the backyard 🏔️ The tallest one is called Hvannadalshnjúkur, rising about 2110 meters above sea lev
Frames from a weekend in East Iceland 📸
I spent a few days at Hotel Jökulsárlón, just next to the famous glacier lagoon. I was there shooting a commercial for the hotel, but also had time to slow down, enjoy the place, and actuall
The frozen window ❄️ For only a few weeks each winter, some of the glacier lagoons freeze and become walkable.
I’ve returned here every year since 2019 when I first discovered this place.
There are many lagoons like this in Iceland, but only a
For almost a century, Dyrhólaey lighthouse has marked the edge of Iceland’s south coast. It sits about 120 meters above sea level, looking straight out over the Atlantic 🌊
From the top of Dyrhólaey 🌅
At sunset you really see how active this coastline is 🌊
Northern lights show tonight ✨
