I'm Jón, the founder and lead creative behind Jon from Iceland.

I've worked in content production for more than 10 years, from commercial photography and social content to music videos, TV productions and campaigns. Today, I work with companies, artists and people both in Iceland and internationally.

I stay closely involved in every project. Sometimes that means it's just me behind the camera. For larger productions, I bring in a trusted network of filmmakers, photographers, editors and other creatives to build the right team for the job.

But what we do often goes beyond the shoot.

We manage social media, plan content and work with clients on an ongoing basis. My background in business, including a degree in Business Administration from Reykjavík University and a thesis on Content Marketing, has shaped the way I approach that side of the work.

Sky Lagoon is a good example. We've worked together since the company opened in 2021, producing the majority of its photo and video content while also managing its social media channels. In 2024, Sky Lagoon was named Brand of the Year in Iceland.

We've also worked with brands and artists including Red Bull, Insta360, 66NORTH, BOSS, LAND ROVER, KALEO, BMW, Glacier Gin, R8iant and Hotel Glacier Lagoon, across everything from individual shoots to larger productions and ongoing content.

Jon from Iceland is intentionally kept personal.
